Marlene's passion and dedication to charitable fundraising was legendary: she sold the most WWII war bonds in the US, helped rescue and find housing and jobs for Jewish people, and toured the front lines for the USO for years. Her philanthropic efforts earned her the US Medal of Freedom, the French Legion d'Honneur, and was named a Knight of the Order of Leopold by Belgium.

Operation Warrior Shield, Inc. provides comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans, first responders and their families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, employment, prevention of homelessness, peer engagement, and connections to community resources. The emphasis is to help heal their hidden wounds through helping veterans find jobs, eliminating veteran homelessness, teaching Transcendental Meditation, Community Based Holistic Wellness programs
Destiny Rescue rescues children from red light districts, brothels and sexually abusive situations. They provide them medical help, counseling, schooling, vocational training and all daily needs required to be integrated back into society successfully. They also offer programs that help at-risk children and families reduce their children’s chances of being sold, lured or trafficked into the sex-trade.
The National Meningitis Association (NMA) works to protect families from the potentially devastating effects of meningococcal disease by educating the public, medical professionals and others about the disease and its prevention. Additionally, NMA raises awareness of other preventable diseases and recommended vaccines across the lifespan.
The Lucky Cat Rescue (TLC Rescue) works to help and reduce the homeless cats and kitten populations of Hudson County, NJ through owner education, TNR (trap-neuter-return of feral cats), and rehabilitation/adoption. We are a foster-based rescue, which means we have no physical shelter building, but instead place animals in private residences under the loving care of our dedicated volunteers.
The purpose of Woodstock Museum is to gather, display, disseminate and develop the concept and reality of Woodstock, encompassing the culture and history of a living colony of the arts, with special emphasis placed on the exhibition of self-sustaining ecological technologies.
